The Fritz Twins

Wayne & Stan Fritz

The Fritz twins started their music careers in 1965 when their dad brought home their first guitars. They started their first Rock Band in 1970.

In the mid 70’s they formed the band Kickin and produced the album Starbound Lady. Kickin toured the US and Canada extensively and opened for national acts such as Rush, Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, Loverboy among others.

Returning to Omaha in 1980 the brothers formed the band On The Fritz. The band performs upwards of 100 shows a year and is still in high demand after 40 years.

Turk Mully

Growing up in Ames, Iowa, Turk showed an early interest in music. He began classical piano lessons with Mrs. Simpson at the age of 4, and added tenor saxophone in elementary school band.

Shortly after graduating from Ames High School, he got his start in the music business joining the Cedar Rapids, IA based band Men Rockin in 1984.The band’s debut album, entitled “Life 2” sold well in the Midwest. They followed that up with “Serious”, which received considerable radio airplay in the area. Men Rockin toured the Midwest playing college showcases and performed for the 1985 edition of TV’s Star Search show. After the band split, Turk joined On The Fritz in 1986.

His vocal style is versatile, strong and consistent, while adding excellent keyboard musicianship and an occasional saxophone solo.

Gregg Premer

For the past decade, Gregg has been setting the foundation for On The Fritz’s diverse repertoire. Hailing from McCook NE and studying Music Business at Wayne State College, he has been developing a distinct approach to drumming which blends iconic influences from nearly every genre of music.

Being quick to provide credit to previous OTF drummers such as John Kent, Mark Johnson and Mark Lierly who have contributed to the throne he now occupies, few would argue that Gregg’s talent has left anything to chance in possessing the vital energy required of the 80’s, 90’s to modern music with a full understanding and respect for the ongoing evolution of drumming.

By utilizing years of experience and the cutting-edge technology available with electronic percussion, Gregg has allowed authentic sounds to resonate within the context of the tunes helping the band to replicate their audiences’ memory of each song. The ability to provide arena sized sounds in the comfortable confines of smaller venues where volume levels would normally restrict the ability to host a full band has key to OTF’s uncompromising energy built on his drumming.
