OTF headlines Opening Ceremony

The official kick-off of the Special Olympics Summer Games will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Creighton’s Morrison Stadium. On The Fritz makes a return appearance to once again highlight the Opening Ceremonies.
This year’s event begins at 5:00 with a family carnival which includes free rides, games, face painting, as well as complementary food and beverages.
An anticipated 2,000 spectators along with a select group of Nebraska dignitaries and celebrities will join 1,200 athletes and volunteers who will march into Morrison stadium at 7:30 followed by a traditional lighting of the torch.
On The Fritz will have the honor of wrapping up the event with a concert on the field for all in attendance. Do not miss this opportunity to treat the family to an evening of inspiration and entertainment.
